Eastern Health Encouraging Individuals to Cancel Duplicate COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

July 20, 2021 – St. John’s, NL:  Eastern Health is reminding individuals of the importance of canceling appointments which are no longer required at COVID-19 vaccine clinics. This may include previously scheduled appointments due to a change in appointment time or location, i.e., getting a vaccine from a physician or pharmacist. Individuals may cancel their appointment through their reminder email, the Pomelo website or by calling 1-800-563-3692 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

To book an appointment at one of the available clinics throughout the Eastern Health region, please visit www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, complete a COVID-19 Assessment by clicking here. Clinic locations throughout the region can be found on Eastern Health’s website at easternhealth.ca/covid19/vaccine/.

In keeping with public health guidance to reduce the number of contacts wherever possible, patients are asked to carefully consider the necessity of an attendee when visiting these areas. For more information, please visit the “Visiting during the COVID-19 pandemic” webpage via easternhealth.ca/covid19/visiting-during-the-covid-19-pandemic/.
