Visitor Restrictions in Place on Units at Carbonear General Hospital

September 29, 2021 – St. John’s, NL:  Eastern Health advises the public that visitation is temporarily suspended on inpatient units located on the 6th floor and unit 2 on the 7th floor at Carbonear General Hospital following positive COVID-19 testing identified at this site. Isolation precautions and testing are being implemented for affected patients. Contact tracing is ongoing and anyone who is considered to be a close contact will be notified. The fund, valued at $50,000 annually, was established in 2007 by Eastern Health’s Board of Trustees to support local community groups and organizations by funding projects that foster healthy communities. Eastern Health to Observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

September 20, 2021 – St. John’s, NL:  To commemorate the children and the families that are impacted by residential schools and to support survivors in healing and reconciling together, Eastern Health will join the Provincial Government in observing September 30, 2021, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, as a statutory holiday. As such, Eastern Health facilities, programs and services will operate on statutory holiday schedules, which will require changes to patient and client appointments. Eastern Health Lifts Visitor Restrictions at Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion

September 20, 2021 – St. John’s, NL:  Eastern Health advises the public that visitor restrictions have been lifted and that general visitation is now open at unit 2 South at Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion. Visitor restrictions were originally implemented on September 9 following a case of COVID-19 identified in the Eastern Health region. Construction Near Main Entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital

September 17, 2021 – St. John’s: Eastern Health advises the public that tomorrow (Saturday, September 18, 2021), construction will be taking place near the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital which will result in the closure of the vehicle thoroughfare from St. Clare Avenue to the main entrance of the facility. Eastern Health Offering Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Avalon Mall

September 16, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that it will be holding a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Avalon Mall in St. John’s on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19, 2021. The walk-in clinic will be located on the lower level next to the Lululemon Court at the previous Claire’s location and will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will offer first and second doses to individuals 12 years and older and appointments are not required. Eastern Health Offers Third COVID-19 Vaccine Dose to Moderately to Severely Immunocompromised Individuals
