In response to current human resources challenges at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre, planning is ongoing in support of continuous safe, high-quality care in the event of a staffing shortage. At this time, no services at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre are affected and recruitment efforts for physicians and nurses are ongoing. (more…)

December 16, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public of an overnight closure of the Emergency Department at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence from 7:30 p.m. this evening (Thursday, December 16, 2021) to 7:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, December 17, 2021), due to a temporary staffing shortage. November 4, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health informs the public of temporary changes at the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
