July 28, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that additional first dose appointments are available at the Glacier Arena in Mount Pearl until August 6, 2021, for individuals 18 years and older. Those receiving their first dose can also receive an appointment for their second dose. To book an appointment at one of the available clinics, please visit www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/.
Eastern Health also advises that there are first dose walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics for youth, 12 to 17 years old, at the Village Mall in St. John’s on the following dates:
- July 28-29, July 31 and August 1, 2021
Appointments are not required for these walk-in clinics for youth. Second dose appointments will be scheduled upon check-in for first dose.
These walk-in clinics will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or while supply is available. There are a maximum of 100 doses available at each clinic. For the most up-to-date walk-in clinic schedule, please visit easternhealth.ca/covid19/vaccine/.
Individuals may continue to book appointments throughout the Eastern Health region by visiting www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Instead, complete a COVID-19 Assessment by clicking here.
In keeping with public health guidance to reduce the number of contacts wherever possible, patients are asked to carefully consider the necessity of an attendee when visiting these areas.
