Masking Requirements Continue at All Eastern Health Facilities

August 10, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: While the special measures order for mandatory masks in indoor public spaces has been lifted, Eastern Health is advising the public that masks will continue to be mandatory for clients, visitors and staff in all Eastern Health facilities as well as in congregate living facilities for seniors including personal care homes and long-term care facilities.

Wearing masks is one of the key strategies in preventing the spread of infection, and is especially critical in protecting Eastern Health’s patients, clients and residents as the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve.

Eastern Health thanks the public for their support and reminds them to continue to follow public health guidance to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.

The public is also reminded that walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics continue throughout the region. Visit the Eastern Health website for a full listing – https://news.easternhealth.ca/category/public-service-announcements/. To make an appointment, visit www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/.
