September 17, 2021 – St. John’s: Eastern Health advises the public that tomorrow (Saturday, September 18, 2021), construction will be taking place near the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital which will result in the closure of the vehicle thoroughfare from St. Clare Avenue to the main entrance of the facility. Construction will begin at about 8:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 12:00 p.m.
The main entrance of the facility will remain open during this time; however, the drop-off lane will be closed to vehicles. Individuals with mobility issues who need to be dropped off at the entrance will be accommodated.
Barricades, flag persons, signage and security will be in place to redirect patient and visitor traffic, as appropriate. Normal safeguards will be in place; however, patients, visitors and employees are advised to proceed with caution in these areas.
