Eastern Health Services Affected By Adverse Weather

December 9, 2021 – St. John’s, NL:  Eastern Health advises the public of the following service changes and cancellations due to adverse weather:

  • The COVID-19 clinics in Marystown, Bonavista and Clarenville are cancelled today.
  • DoorWays (St. John’s) Counselling Services will be offered by phone or video today. Please call 709-752-4903 to arrange a phone or video session. DoorWays (St. John’s) is open today from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

To book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment at a clinic located throughout the Eastern Health region, please visit www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Eastern Health encourages patients and clients to check with their individual doctor’s office to confirm their appointment is going ahead, and reminds patients and clients throughout the region that there may be delays. Emergency services continue to be available at all sites during adverse weather. Individuals travelling long distances are encouraged to call ahead to make sure their appointments are not impacted by the weather. Eastern Health also reminds individuals that if they are not able to present for a scheduled appointment to notify the respective health-care area(s).
