January 7, 2022: Eastern Health advises the public that emergency services at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence will be temporarily diverted beginning Friday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m. due to staffing changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic response.
Overnight diversions are in place as follows:
- 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 to 7:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022
- 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 to 7:30 a.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022
- 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022 to 7:30 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2022
Patients requiring emergency services should call 911 or proceed to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, or the Dr. S. Beckley Clinic in Grand Bank if they feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem.
