Appointment-Based Influenza Clinic in St. John’s Tomorrow

February 1, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that there will be an influenza vaccination clinic tomorrow, February 2, at the Village Mall in St. John’s. COVID-19 vaccinations will also continue to be available.

The clinic will by appointment only and is open to those ages six months and older. Appointments can be made online at www.timefortheshot.ca. Those unable to book online can schedule an appointment by calling 1-833-951-3904 (toll-free).

This clinic will provide curb-side vaccines for individuals who may have mobility requirements. Anyone who requires a curb-side vaccine can indicate so to security at the entrance of the Village Mall clinic, or can call the phone number posted on the exterior doors of the clinic.

Public Health advises that everyone above the age of six months should get the flu shot annually, particularly those who are at increased risk for complications from influenza, and those in close contact with these individuals.

Eastern Health reminds the public to arrive for their appointment no earlier than five minutes in advance, to bring their MCP card and to wear a short-sleeved shirt. Further instructions will be provided on site.

The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment if they are a close contact of a COVID-19 case and are isolating or if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. If they are experiencing symptoms, they should complete a COVID-19 Assessment by visiting https://covidassessment.nlchi.nl.ca/.

Significant efforts have been made to ensure that public health measures are in place for the protection of those receiving their vaccines as well as for health-care staff. Individuals will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms at the entrance, be required to wear a mask, and observe good infection prevention and control practices.
