February 25, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises of new operating hours for the COVID-19 appointment-based and walk-in clinics at the Village Mall based on current demand. Starting this weekend, the clinics will remain open every second Saturday for first and second doses for individuals 12 years and older, booster doses for anyone 18 years of age and older and pediatric doses. The clinic at the Village Mall will be closed tomorrow and reopen on Monday, February 28, 2022. Individuals who had appointments scheduled for tomorrow will need to rebook.
Individuals may continue to book appointments at various other clinics throughout the Eastern Health region by visiting www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are a close contact of a case and are isolating or if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. If they are experiencing symptoms, they should complete a COVID-19 Assessment by clicking here.
Significant efforts have been made to ensure that public health measures are in place for the protection of those receiving their vaccines as well as for health-care staff. Individuals will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms at the entrance, be required to wear a mask, and observe good infection prevention and control practices.
We understand that the pandemic has brought many changes and we would like to thank the public for their patience and kindness. Let’s work together to make civility and respect part of every interaction at clinics, hospitals and health-care facilities across the region.
