May 13, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that computerized tomography (CT) scans at Carbonear General Hospital are currently unavailable due to a water leak in an area of the Medical Imaging Department.
Inpatients and emergency department patients who are referred for CT scans will be temporarily transferred to a St. John’s health-care facility for this service. Arrangements are being made for outpatients to receive this medical imaging service at a health-care facility in St. John’s or Clarenville. Eastern Health is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and identify an estimated time for when this service will resume.
