June 17, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health informs the public of upcoming temporary changes at the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 18, 2022, a crane will be on site. Work is expected to last approximately two hours. During this time, access to the main entrance via St. Clare Avenue will be closed. Patients and visitors will be directed to the main visitor parking lot off Ricketts Road. Pedestrian access will be available via Ricketts Road.
Five accessible parking spaces located in front of the building will also be closed until work is completed. Individuals requiring wheelchair access will be permitted access to the main entrance; traffic control will be onsite to direct vehicles. Other blue zone parking spaces are available in the main visitor parking lot.
Safeguards will be in place; however, the public is advised to proceed with caution and to follow posted signage in the area.
