July 11, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public of temporary changes at the main entrance and registration area of the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre.
Beginning today (Monday, July 11, 2022), the current ramp and step of the main entrance will undergo necessary repairs which will improve accessibility. This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 14, 2022. During this time, access to the hospital will be available from the ambulance entrance located directly to the left of the main entrance.
Renovations to the registration area will enhance occupational health and safety for staff. This work is expected to begin on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 7:00 a.m. and will continue for approximately two weeks. While renovations are underway, registration will be available in the former gift shop (located at the back of the waiting room adjacent to the emergency triage room). Individuals may experience delays with registration while this change is in effect.
Safeguards will be in place in construction areas; however, the public is advised to proceed with caution and to follow posted signage.
The public is also reminded that masks are required inside the facility at all times and physical distancing is encouraged.
Eastern Health apologizes for any inconvenience these temporary changes may cause.
