March 30, 2023 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public of temporary changes to the emergency department entrance at the Carbonear General Hospital due to construction work. This work is currently scheduled to take place from Friday, March 31, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. to Monday April 3, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. During this time, the public is advised to use the second floor Staff Entrance, Door #5 to access the emergency department; this entrance is located in the same area and is to the left of the emergency room doors.
This temporary change is to accommodate construction work for renovations in the emergency department entrance area. Signage will be in place to help direct people and security will be on site to provide assistance, as needed.
Eastern Health would like to thank the public for their cooperation during this time and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
