April 3, 2023 – St. John’s, NL: Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services advises the public of continued temporary changes to the emergency department entrance at the Carbonear General Hospital due to construction work. This work is currently scheduled to continue to take place until Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m. During this time, the public is advised to use the second floor Staff Entrance, Door #5 to access the emergency department; this entrance is located in the same area and is to the left of the emergency room doors. Please refer to the photo for more information regarding this location.
This temporary change is to accommodate construction work for renovations in the emergency department entrance area. Signage will be in place to help direct people and security will be on site to provide assistance, as needed.
