August 19, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public of upcoming temporary changes at the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital to accommodate construction work in the area.
Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, and ending at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2022, a crane will be on site and access to the main entrance via St. Clare Avenue will be closed. Patients and visitors will be directed to the main visitor parking lot off Ricketts Road. Pedestrian access will also be available via Ricketts Road.
Five accessible parking spaces located in front of the building will also be temporarily unavailable until work is completed. Individuals requiring wheelchair access will be able to access the main entrance, and traffic control personnel will be onsite to direct vehicles. Additional blue zone parking spaces are available in the main visitor parking lot.
Safeguards will be in place; however, the public is advised to proceed with caution and to follow posted signage in the area.
