Eastern Health Modifies Approach to COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

When clinics have been consolidated, some individuals with scheduled appointments may receive a cancellation notice if that clinic is no longer available. Individuals can:

Over 86 per cent of eligible individuals in the Eastern Health region have received their first dose of vaccine and over 66 per cent their second dose.  Because of this, the COVID-19 vaccine clinics at Major’s Path and Mundy Pond Road in St. John’s will be closed by the end of August.

Eastern Health also thanks everyone for their cooperation in canceling their duplicate appointments as it will provide additional times for others who can use those appointment dates and times. Individuals may cancel their appointment through their reminder email, the Pomelo website, or by calling 1-800-563-3692 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
