Eastern Health Opens Additional Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing on the Burin Peninsula

UPDATE: October 24, 2021 – Eastern Health’s additional drive-through COVID-19 Testing Clinic on the Burin Peninsula on Sunday Oct. 24, is operating extended hours to accommodate the increase demand for testing in the area.

October 22, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health is offering a temporary COVID-19 testing clinic on the Burin Peninsula this weekend, in response to a recent rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the region.

Testing is available by appointment only and will be held at the Marystown Community Service Building, 10-12 Harris Drive Industrial Park on:

  • Sunday, October 24 from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

To book an appointment for testing, please complete the COVID-19 self-assessment and testing referral tool online at https://covidassessment.nlchi.nl.ca/. Individuals can call 811 if unable to complete the online assessment. Individuals are advised that COVID-19 test results are usually available within 24-72 hours and are directed to follow Public Health guidelines for self-isolation and retesting.

Eastern Health would like to remind the public that appointments are required for COVID-19 testing clinics across the region. Individuals are advised to complete the COVID-19 self-assessment and testing referral tool if they are experiencing any one or more symptoms of COVID-19.

Individuals who are not​ seriously ill are reminded to avoid hospital emergency departments. In case of an emergency, individuals should proceed to the nearest emergency department or call 911 for an ambulance.
