December 20, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health reminds employees, former employees and the public that notifications regarding the breach of privacy and information can be found on Eastern Health’s IT Systems Outage webpage at www.easternhealth.ca/it-systems-outage.
In particular, notices that affect the public can be found on the public notification of privacy breach of personal health information page, while employees and former employees can access information on the notification for current and former employees page. These notifications have been updated to include the most recent information, as a result of the ongoing investigation into the cyber-attack that impacted health-care information technology (IT) systems across the province.
Eastern Health’s IT Systems Outage page also contains information related to Public Service Announcements, Service Updates, as well as other information.
Eastern Health would also like to remind the public that clients who have received health-care services from Eastern Health at any time over the last 11 years are being offered access to credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
