December 22, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that regular hours for some services and walk-in clinics may change due to statutory holidays between December 25, 2021, and January 2, 2022.
Note that COVID-19 testing will be available daily, as needed, throughout the holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
For all other clinics and services, patients and clients are reminded to call ahead to check for holiday closures/opening hours before proceeding.
Individuals who are experiencing an emergency should proceed to the nearest emergency department, or call 911 for an ambulance. If you are unsure whether you or a loved one should go to the Emergency Department, please call the NL Health Line at 811 to speak with a registered nurse 24 hours, seven days a week. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 709-737-4668 or toll-free at 1-888-737-4668.
