Eastern Health Modifies Approach for COVID-19 Clinics

February 28, 2023 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that it is modifying its approach to providing COVID-19 vaccine and boosters based on current demand at various locations. By March 1, 2023, some clinics will be relocated to Eastern Health community health offices throughout the region, as outlined in the table below.

Appointments will continue to be available by contacting the above numbers between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and individuals will no longer be able to book via for these communities through the Get the Shot web site. Additional clinics will be moving to community health offices in April and details will be provided at a later date.

Individuals wishing to book appointments at locations other than those listed above may continue to do so by visiting www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. The public is reminded that they should not schedule an appointment for a vaccine if they are a close contact of a case and are isolating or if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. If they are experiencing symptoms, they should complete a COVID-19 Assessment by clicking here.

Public health measures continue to be in place for the protection of those receiving their vaccines as well as for health-care staff. Individuals are required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms at the entrance, be required to wear a mask, and observe good infection prevention and control practices.
