February 15, 2023 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that work is ongoing with the service provider to resolve interruptions to telephone services at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre.
During this telephone disruption, residents of Bell Island with a medical emergency who require an ambulance are advised of the following protocols:
- Cell Phone: If you have a cell phone, please continue to call 911 for an ambulance.
- Landline: If you have a landline, please call the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre at 709-488-2761 for an ambulance.
Patients requiring emergency services can also proceed to the emergency department at the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre if they feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem.
