July 28, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that additional first dose appointments are available at the Glacier Arena in Mount Pearl until August 6, 2021, for individuals 18 years and older. Those receiving their first dose can also receive an appointment for their second dose. July 27, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health is advising that there is a walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic specific to youth 12 to 17 years old today, July 27, 2021, at the Village Mall in St. John’s. The clinic is currently ongoing and is scheduled until 5:00 p.m., or while supply is available. There are a maximum of 100 doses available. Appointments are not required for this clinic. July 23, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health is advising that there are clinic appointments available for youth 12 to 17 years old today, Friday, July 23, at the Danny Cleary Stadium in Harbour Grace. July 22, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises that, in line with provincial guidelines, general visitation is permitted, effective Friday, July 23, for all provincially-operated acute care facilities, health centres and long-term care facilities as well as privately-operated long-term care homes, personal care homes, and community care homes. While restrictions are eased, alternatives to in-person visiting are encouraged such as virtual visits, outdoor visits when possible, and phone calls when possible.
July 20, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health is reminding individuals of the importance of canceling appointments which are no longer required at COVID-19 vaccine clinics. This may include previously scheduled appointments due to a change in appointment time or location, i.e., getting a vaccine from a physician or pharmacist. Individuals may cancel their appointment through their reminder email, the Pomelo website or by calling 1-800-563-3692 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
July 15, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that it is now offering earlier appointments for COVID-19 second dose vaccines to individuals 12 years of age and older. Starting today, those who are due for their second dose will be able to move their appointment to 28 days after their first dose. July 9, 2021 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health informs the public that the main entrance of the Health Sciences Centre will be temporarily closed on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until approximately 10:00 p.m. This closure is necessary to accommodate the lifting and installation of new mechanical equipment on the roof near the HSC’s main entrance.
