July 20, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that the emergency services at the U. S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence will be temporarily closed due to current human resource challenges. The temporary closure will take place from:
July 19, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that individuals 50 years and over are now eligible to book appointments for a second booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Individuals may book appointments at clinics throughout the Eastern Health region by visiting www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/vaccine/gettheshot/. For some vaccination clinics, appointments may be currently booked to capacity based on initial high demand. Appointments will continue to be added to the online booking system regularly and individuals are advised to continue to check availability.
Individuals may also book a COVID-19 vaccine at a participating pharmacy or physician’s office. (more…)

July 11, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public of temporary changes at the main entrance and registration area of the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre.
Beginning today (Monday, July 11, 2022), the current ramp and step of the main entrance will undergo necessary repairs which will improve accessibility. This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 14, 2022. During this time, access to the hospital will be available from the ambulance entrance located directly to the left of the main entrance.

June 17, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health informs the public of upcoming temporary changes at the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 18, 2022, a crane will be on site. Work is expected to last approximately two hours. During this time, access to the main entrance via St. Clare Avenue will be closed. Patients and visitors will be directed to the main visitor parking lot off Ricketts Road. Patients/clients of the Waterford Hospital, as well as St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and the Major’s Path Clinic, are able to view, select and book an available time for their appointment directly on the Eastern Health website. June 8, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health is advising the public that a new Equifax Canada web portal for current and former clients to enroll in credit monitoring and identity theft protection services is now available. The new portal was created as an additional step to assist clients with the enrollment process. Clients who have received health-care services from Eastern Health at any time continue to be offered access to credit monitoring and identity theft protection services for a period of two years from the date of enrollment, at no cost to them. June 1, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises the public that health-care services at the Heart’s Delight District Office in Heart’s Delight, NL, will be unavailable tomorrow (Thursday, June 2, 2022) due to water main repairs by the Town of Heart’s Delight-Islington. The second booster dose should be administered at a minimum of 20 weeks after the first booster dose was administered. Those eligible for the second booster are:

Effective March 14, 2022, visitors/support persons are directed to self-screen for COVID-19 and verbal screening by a staff member at facility entrances will be discontinued. February 25, 2022 – St. John’s, NL: Eastern Health advises of new operating hours for the COVID-19 appointment-based and walk-in clinics at the Village Mall based on current demand. Starting this weekend, the clinics will remain open every second Saturday for first and second doses for individuals 12 years and older, booster doses for anyone 18 years of age and older and pediatric doses. The clinic at the Village Mall will be closed tomorrow and reopen on Monday, February 28, 2022. Individuals who had appointments scheduled for tomorrow will need to rebook. (more…)

These walk-in clinics will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays. Appointments are not required.
